Mr. Ishwor Pokhrel, Honourable Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Minister of Defense inspected the construction of the Kathmandu-Terai/Madhesh Expressway project on November 29, 2019. During the process, he visited Makkhubesi, Sisneri, Budune, Rajdamar, Bagdev area and zero point of Nijgadh.

During the inspection visit, DPM Pokhrel was briefed on the work progress of the national pride project by the respective site-in-charges. He also took note of the main challenges that might delay the timely construction of the project.

Honourable Vice-chairperson of National Planning Commission Professor Dr. Pushpa Raj Kanel, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Purna Chandra Thapa, Defense Secretary Mr. Reshmi Raj Pande, Secretary of Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Mr. Devendra Karki, General Officers of Nepali Army, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Finance, officers of Nepali Army among others were present during the inspection visit.
