Nepal army rescues over 1,000 flood-survivors

Nepal Army (NA) personnel have undertaken rescue operations in various flood-hit areas across the country. They rescued over 1,000 flood-survivors and relocated them to the safer places.

More than 2,000 NA personnel involved in the rescue and relief operation picked a total of 268 flood survivors from Shivatashi Municipality in Jhapa district, while they relocated as many as 550 people from several places in Sunsari district.

According to the NA’s Directorate of Public Relations (DPR), NA rescued around 300 students stranded at Jagatpur in Chitwan district.

The Rescue and relief operation is underway in districts as Paanchthar, Morang, Saptari, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Parsa, Rautahat, Sindhuli, Palpa, Nawalparashi, Bardia, and Dang, according to DPR.
