Directorate of Ombudsman

The Directorate of Ombudsman has been established in the Nepalese Army (NA) to facilitate investigating and addressing complaints of the serving and retired military personnel along with the conflict affected military and civil persons in the most effective, transparent and un-biased way.

The typical duties of an ombudsman are to investigate complaints and attempt to resolve them, usually through recommendations (binding or not) or mediation. Ombudsmen sometimes also aim to identify systematic issues leading to poor service or breaches of people's rights.

If you have any query, complaints and suggestions about Nepalese Army, NA Offices or any military personnel, you are requested to submit your complaints to the Directorate of Ombudsman at Bhadrakali, Kathmandu or in the given contact addresses below.

As the Nepalese Army and the Directorate of Ombudsman are very serious about the security of the complainant, the identity of the complainant will be kept secret and all the concerned are requested to file complaints without any due fear and restriction.
